These Swift Parrots are 3 of less than 2,000 birds left. They spend their summers in Tasmania and head to the mainland for winter. Their decline is due largely to loss of habitat. The Real gum leaves used to create the original are spectacularly aged and decayed by time. Unless we use the time we have wisely, the Swift Parrots will also decline further to only be enjoyed on canvas.
